I’m the person behind 330 Tutoring, and I live here in the Fairlawn area.
I started tutoring because I genuinely enjoy helping people understand things that feel confusing at first. I’ve always liked school, but even more than that, I like explaining ideas in a way that actually makes sense to someone else. Seeing things “click” is one of my favorite parts of tutoring.
I’m an Eagle Scout, which taught me a lot about responsibility, leadership, and sticking with something long-term. I’m also a student at Akron STEM High Schol, where I’ve worked hard to keep a 4.0 GPA and stay involved in Student Council.
I’ve helped tutor students up through Algebra I, and I focus a lot on math and science because those are the subjects I enjoy most. I’m especially interested in environmental science, chemistry, and earth science, and I’m planning to study environmental engineering in college.
I try to be patient, encouraging, and flexible. Everyone learns differently, and sometimes it just takes a slightly different explanation or a little extra time. I’m also a bit quirky, which helps keep sessions relaxed and comfortable (especially when a subject feels frustrating.)
My goal isn’t just to help students get through homework, but to help them feel more confident in their own abilities.
When I’m not tutoring or working on schoolwork, I love spending time with animals and volunteering at the Fairlawn Nature Center. Being outdoors and learning about the environment is something I really care about.
I’m a big fan of video games (especially Super Smash Bros.) and I enjoy the problem-solving and strategy side of gaming just as much as the fun. I also enjoy fencing at Clashing Steel Fencing.
My mom is a teacher, so education has always been a big part of my life. I’ve seen how important patience, preparation, and encouragement are teaching, and that’s something I try to bring into my tutoring as well.
If you’re looking for someone local, responsible, and easy to work with, I’d love to help. I’m always happy to answer questions or talk through what kind of support might be most helpful.
